Elizabeth Gillies was born in New York City. She is an American performer and actress. Most famously, she is known for her role as Lucy in musical 13, and Jade West, in Nickelodeon's Victorious. She received a nomination for Best Young Performer at the Critics Choice Movie Awards in 2010 for her work as Sofia Coppola's Somewhere. In 2011, she received recognition by her performance as the main character in the sci-fi action film Super 8, which won the Spotlight Award in the Hollywood film festival. She was the lead character in comedy films We Bought a Zoo (2012) and Ginger & Rosa (2013). In 2014 and 2019 she portrayed the princess Aurora part in Maleficent.
