Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. In her early years she attended her school, the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma was inspired to become an actor when she was six. Through the years, she attended the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. She learned to sing as well as dancing, and also acting. Through a school play as well as an Stagecoach production, Emma was her role as lead actress at 10, and acted. The film beat all previous records for the opening weekend and numbers, and was the highest-grossing film of 2001. The film was praised by critics who praised the film, and especially the young performers. The Daily Telegraph, a widely read British paper, praised her for her performance. In the following days, Emma was shortlisted for five prizes for her work in the film winning her the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in an Feature Film.
