Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the classic romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other dramatic shows. At age 16 she began singing and learning music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to provide her with more intense vocal instruction. The training in music continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. As a student and when she was a professional young within Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choruses. After moving from Mexico to the United States in 2000, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in traditional Latin American music at private events. She has been involved with a number of local projects, both as a teacher as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm of music and art. Ana has also been a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana thanks the Inland Master Choir for allowing her to perform traditional Latin American song.
